RFE proudly invites you to join all 5 schools in the Rye City School District to view the once every-50-years Solar Eclipse on Monday April 8th, 2024 from 3:15pm to 3:30pm.

This eclipse is a 90% darkening of the sun and will not happen again until 2078! The sky will get dark at 3:15pm and will remain so until 3:30pm.  RFE has purchased Solar Eclipse viewing glasses for every student and staff across all 5 schools so that they can look directly at the sun during this exciting event (glasses will be handed out in school).  The glasses are meant to be shared with any parent, sibling, or caregiver present at the viewing.

To learn more about Eclipses, please view this presentation with your RHS or RMS student(s) or this presentation with your Elementary student(s).
